Newcomer Matt Huffaker led off the bottom of the 1st with a single to left, which would be the first of his four hits on the day. Luke Nelson followed with a double and Jeff Rhoads then followed with a triple. A past ball on the first pitch scored Rhoads from third and Oconomowoc had three of the runs back before making an out. They added one more in the bottom of the 1st to put the score at 6-4. The story of the day for Oconomowoc on the mound was Chris Fischer who came in to relieve starter Serg Medina with two outs in the top of the first. Fischer, making his Five O's debut, went on to throw 3 2/3 scoreless innings, keeping Oconomowoc in the game and allowing them to battle back and eventually earning the win. Oconomowoc got one more run back in the bottom of the third to make the score 6-5 after a lead off walk to Mike Mitchell who scored on a double to left by Mike Bolson. In the bottom of the 4th, Oconomowoc took the lead with four more runs and never looked back. Matt led off with a single followed by a double by Luke Nelson. Back-to-back-to-back singles by Jeff Rhoads, Derek Nelson and Mike Mitchell tacked on two more runs and Steve Rhoads drove in the final run of the inning with a sac fly. The Five O's added three insurance runs in the 5th and one more in the 7th to put the final at 13-6.
