The Five O's offense jumped out of the gate on Sunday and then cooled off but that was all starter Luke Nelson needed as he threw a complete game to carry Oconomowoc over West Bend 4-2 in LOL action on Sunday. After striking out the side in the top of the 1st, Luke led off for Oconomowoc by reaching on an error. Jeff Rhoads then hit a 2-run home run to right field to give Oconomowoc an early 2-0 lead. With two outs in the inning, Steve Rhoads hit a double down the right field line and was brought in promptly with a double off the top of the wall by Mike Bolson. The Five O's scored their 4th and final run in the 2nd inning when Luke Nelson hit a solo home run to left field. West Bend got on the board with an unearned run in the top of the 4th when Mike Mueller led off with a double and was later brought home on a sac fly. They cut the lead to 4-2 in the top of the 6th on another sac fly which is where the score remained for the rest of the game.
On the mound Luke Nelson threw all 9 innings giving up two runs (one earned) on six hits and no walks while striking out eight.
