Chris Fischer got very little defensive or offensive support on the mound against the Pewaukee in the SWABA semi-finals as the fell to the Muskies 11-3. Oconomowoc was only able to pick up four hits in the contest and committed five errors which resulted in eight unearned runs. Pewaukee got two runs in the top of the 2nd to take a 2-0 lead and then dropped three more on Oconomowoc in the 3rd and four more in the 4th to take a 9-0 lead. Bob Bolson put Oconomowoc on the board in the bottom of the the 4th with a two RBI single scoring Josh Bouche and Steve Rhoads. Pewaukee scored another run in the top of the 5th and their final run in the top of the 7th to extend their lead to 11-2. Oconomowoc was able to add one more run in the bottom of the 7th on an RBI double by Mike Bolson.
On the mound Chris Fischer took the loss going 3.1 innings allowing nine runs (two earned) on seven hits while walking two and striking out one. Jeff Rhoads went 2.3 innings allowing one run on four hits while walking one and striking out one. Luke Nelson threw the final inning for Oconomowoc allowing one run on one hit while walking one and striking out two.
At the plate Oconomowoc was led by Bob Bolson who had a single with two RBIs and Mike Bolson who had a double with an RBI.
Oconomowoc will next play in the SWABA consolation game against Hustisford on Friday at 6:30 pm in Watertown.
