Ladies and gentlemen, I have tragic and disappointing news for both the City of Oconomowoc, State of Wisconsin, and the United States of America. Pat Neary has (willfully) made the decision to depart with the blue van, despite pleas from Jody and the automobile loving community. The Smithsonian, the Detroit Automobile Hall of Fame, parked next to the Cadillac, where did it end up you might be asking.... a junk yard. Not only that but he had to pay $20 for them to take it, obviously as a slap-in-the-face to myself and Mr. Michael Eppler who offered more than 10x that amount to sell it to us. Our bid was negligible when compared to the other undisclosed bids of Ford Motor Company, Road & Track magazine and other private automobile enthusiasts such as Jay Leno. "I dont want to get into exact figures or anything, but lets just say Pat would have been on the annual cover of Forbes Magazine if he would have accepted our offer," quoted an obviously choked up vice president of Ford Motor Company's racing division.
But Pat would have nothing of it. In my life which includes a formal education of 14+ years, I have only read or studied of one other person in the 20th century with such an utter lack of human emotion and values. Here is that other person.
