Einstein would, of course, go on to great fame himself, but he never forgot his mentor. In 1945, he was quoted as saying, "In my heart, the 'e' in 'e=mc2' always stood for Earl."
After three years at the top of the world of academia, Earl decided to throw it all away for a chance at music stardom. His friends tried to reason with him, but Earl would have none of it.
After hearing England was 'where it's at,' Earl sold all his earthly possessions and entered Liverpool with nothing more than the clothes on his back, and a beat up six-string.
He quickly met up with a group of young men in a band called 'The Quarrymen'. His smooth talking quickly got him a spot in the group, and at his suggestion, they changed their name to 'The Beatles'.
