The Five O's ran into Clyman's Kyle Lee on Thursday night and fell 6-0 in Tri County action. Lee threw a complete game, four hit shutout striking out 11 batters in the win. Clyman got their first two runs in the bottom of the 3rd after a double and single put runners on second and third. A throwing error (the first of six errors for Oconomowoc) allowed two runs to score of starter Chris Fischer. The Canners got their other four runs off reliever Derek Nelson in the bottom of the sixth on three walks, two hits and two errors. Steve Rhoads led Oconomowoc at the plate going 2 for 2. Mike Barker and Josh Bouche had the other hits for Oconomowoc. Chris Fischer took the loss going 3 innings allowing two runs (none earned) on four hits while walking one and striking out one. Shawn Tremaine threw two scoreless innings allowing three hits. Derek Nelson threw two innings allowing four runs (two earned) on three hits while walking four and striking out two. Steve Rhoads threw a scoreless final frame for the O's.
The loss puts Oconomowoc at 0-3 in the Tri County Night League. They travel to West Bend on Sunday for a LOL matchup at 1:00 pm.
