In their first year in the Tri County Night League, the Lebanon Whitetails opened up their 2009 Tri County season with a 3-2 win over Oconomowoc. In the pitcher's dual it was Lebanon that struck first with a run in the bottom of the 4th after a one out walk and single later in the inning. Oconomowoc tied the game in the top of the 7th after Brett Marshall led off with a single and scored on a Josh Bouche single. Lebanon got two runs in the bottom half of the inning after the first two batters got on and then a throwing error on a bunt brought them around to score. The Five O's tried to mount a comeback when Jeff Rhoads led off the top of the 9th with a double and scored on a sac fly by Josh Bouche but no one else was able to reach base for Oconomowoc and they suffered the 3-2 loss.
Oconomowoc was led at the plate Luke "Triple Machine" Nelson who was 2 for 3 with a triple and Brett Marshall who was 2 for 4 with a run scored. Tyler Zimmer threw the complete game for Oconomowoc taking the loss going eight innings allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits while walkink three, striking out five and hitting two batters. Earning the win for Lebanon was Ethan Schuler.
The loss puts Oconomowoc at 0-2 in the Tri County Night League and 4-3 overall.
