Oconomowoc traveled to West Bend Tuesday night to make up a Night League rainout game and lost to the 7-Up 11-4. West Bend took an early lead scoring four runs in the first two innings before Oconomowoc answered with a run in the top of the 3rd when Brett Marshall doubled home Josh Bouche. West Bend added three more off starter Chris Fischer in their half of the inning to put the score at 7-1. Things remained that way until the top of the 7th when Oconomowoc was able to push two more runs across the board only to have West Bend answer with three in the bottom half setting the score at 10-3. Both teams traded runs in the 8th which would put the final score at 11-4.
On the mound for Oconomowoc Chris Fischer took the loss going five innings allowing seven runs on nine hits while walking eight and striking out four. Jeff Rhoads threw two innings allowing three runs on three hits while walking five and hitting one batter. Steve Rhoads threw the final frame allowing one unearned run on three hits while striking out one.
At the plate Oconomowoc was led by Erik Olson, Jeff Rhoads and Josh Bouche who had two hits each.
The loss puts Oconomowoc at 1-5 in the Night League. They return to LOL action with home games on Saturday (2:00 pm) and Sunday (1:00 pm) against North Lake (1-10) and Merton (3-7).
