Perhaps the Five O's were star struck as the return of EO did little to translate into any offense as Horicon blanked Oconomowoc with a 2-hit, 9-0 win on Wednesday night. Erik made his presence known by batting in the clean up spot but Horicon's pitchers were not intimidated. Oconomowoc fell behind 2-0 in the bottom of the 2nd and never were able to mount an attack. Their only two hits came on a single up the middle by Steve Rhoads in the 4th and an infield single by Josh Bouche in the 8th. Justin Mortensen took the loss for Oconomowoc going 1.1 innings allowing two runs (one earned) on no hits while walking three and striking out three. Jeff Rhoads went 2.2 innings allowing one run on four hits while walking one. Josh Bouche threw the final four innings allowing six runs (four earned) on seven hits while walking two, striking out three and hitting two batters.
The loss puts Oconomowoc at 3-5 in the Tri County Night League.
