Chris Fischer allowed the first two batters of the game to reach and score for Muskego but shut them down the rest of the game only allowing four more hits the entire game and picking up the win for Oconomowoc. Muskego scored two in the 1st to take a 2-0 lead before Oconomowoc was able to grab the lead with four runs in the bottom of the 3rd. Chris Fischer led off the inning by drawing a walk followed by a single from Jeff Rhoads. The inning appeared to be dying when the next two batters made outs before Oconomowoc strung together five straight hits and walks to score four runs. The highlight of the inning was a big two out walk to load the bases by Mike Bolson and then a bases clearing single by Josh Bouche. Oconomowoc added one more in the 5th and two more in the 6th to put the final score at 7-2. Chris Fischer threw the complete game going seven innings allowing two runs on six hits while walking four, striking out one and hitting one batter. At the plate Oconomowoc was led by Jeff Rhoads who was 3 for 4 with two doubles.
Oconomowoc will play Kewaskum in the next round on Friday at 8:30 pm in Watertown.
