The Five Os dropped their first Night League game of the season on Wednesday with a 3-0 loss to Sullivan on Wednesday night in Johnson Creek. Defense hurt Oconomowoc as all 3 of the Rooster's runs were unearned. Oconomowoc hitters also left 15 runners on base as no one was able to pick up the clutch hit. All 3 of Sullivan's runs came in the bottom of the 4th when they started the inning off with a single and walk. A throwing error on a stolen base brought one run in while an infield and outfield error with 2 outs brought the other runs in.
Newcomer Jeremy Deuchars took the loss for Oconomowoc going 5 innings, giving up 3 runs (0 earned) on 4 hits while walking 2 and striking out 1. The only player from Oconomowoc to have 2 hits was Derek Nelson who was 2 for 2 with a hit by pitch.
Oconomowoc returns to LOL action against Pewaukee on Sunday. Game time is 1:00 pm in Pewaukee.
