Oconomowoc Five Os

In a game that was closer than the score would indicate, The Brookfield Bulldogs showed why they are in first place with a 9-0 win over Oconomowoc. The game was played in Monches due to wet field conditions in Brookfield. Brookfield struck first in the bottom of the 2nd when Scott Booth drew a one-out walk which was followed up by a two-run home run by Brett Summers. After that Mike Bolson cruised along until the bottom of the 8th. Brookfield's starter Josh Eidt was even more dominant. He limited Oconomowoc to just one hit the entire game while striking out 7 and walking 1. In the bottom of the 8th Brookfield blew the doors off by sending 10 batters to the plate and increasing their lead 9-0. Oconomowoc went 1-2-3 in the 9th and took the loss.
Mike Bolson threw the complete game for Oconomowoc allowing 9 runs on 9 hits while striking out 3 and walking 4. Josh Eidt took the win for Brookfield. Luke Nelson got the only hit for Oconomowoc.
The loss puts Oconomowoc at 9-4 in the LOL West and in 4th place. They host Pewaukee on Saturday before visiting Lannon on Sunday.
