The Five Os fell to Horicon in Tri County action on Wednesday night by a score of 13-5. Oconomowoc committed 4 errors in the game and struck out 14 times in the loss. Horicon took the lead in the bottom of the first when then pushed a run ascross and scored in every other inning except the 6th and 8th. There were some positives in the game. Some young talent emerged as Griffin Bell and Brett Marshall got some quality playing time, played quality defense and worked some very good at bats.
Taking the loss for Oconomowoc was Tyler Zimmer who threw the entire game. Tyler gave up 13 runs (8 earned) while walking 7, striking out 7 and allowing 14 hits. At the plate Oconomowoc was led by Jeff Rhoads who was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles a walk and RBI.
The loss puts Oconomowoc at 2-2 in the Tri County Night League and 6-3 overall. The return to LOL action with a home game against West Bend on Sunday. Game time is 1:00 pm.
