The first four batters for Oconomowoc scored as the Five Os earned an easy 12-2 victory over North Lake at Roosevelt Field. Pete Schlosser lined a single past the third base bag to lead off the bottom of the first inning. Jeff Rhoads doubled to left center and Derek Nelson walked to load the bases. After the runners moved up on a wild pitch, Sean Smith hit a three run home run over the right center field fence for the 4-0 lead. North Lake scored a run in the top of the second as John Urban was hit by a pitch, advanced on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Tom Latzke. The Five Os answered with a single by Kevin Raasch, who advanced to second on a sacrifice by Bob Bolson and scored on a single by J Rhoads. John Downing lead off the third for North Lake with a walk, went to second on a single by Kevin Tolzman, reached third on an error and was forced home when Urban was again hit by a pitch for the final Lakers run. Oconomowoc's Mike Mitchell was hit by a pitch in the third and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Raasch. After P Schlosser reached on an error, J Rhoads doubled him home with a double to left center. Derek Nelson singled Rhoads and scored on a single by Mitchell. J Rhoads hit a solo home run over the left center field fence in the bottom of the fifth. The Five Os completed the scoring in the bottom of the seventh with a lead off walk to Dan Schlosser, who later scored on a wild pitch and a single by Raasch, who scored on a ground out by J Rhoads.
Rhoads finished with four hits including two doubles and a home run, three runs and four RBI's. Smith had a home run, three RBI's and four walks. Mitchell and Raasch had two hits and two runs scored each.
Oconomowoc winning pitcher Rob Becker went eight innings with two runs, one earned, on five hits, two walks, three hit batters and four strike outs. Kirk Ressler pitched one inning with two strike outs. North Lake's Eric Stillman took the loss giving up nine runs, seven earned, on seven hits, two walks and a hit batter in three innings. Dave Neuman pitched three innings with one run, tow hits, two walks and a strike out. Steve Thompson finishes with two earned runs on two hits, three walks and four strike outs in two innings.
Oconomowoc is 4-1, 3-1 in Land O Lakes. The Five Os are at Lannon Wed. at 7:30 PM for a Tri County Nite League game and return home on Saturday 5/28/05 at 2 PM versus Pewaukee in the LOL. They are at Menomonee Falls on Sunday at 1 PM.
