Os Hitting Comes Alive Against Lannon in Nite League
In a rare regular season Tri County Nite League game between the two Land O Lakes teams, the Five Os defeated Lannon 18-3 in a seven inning
run rule game. The first five batters scored in the top of the first as Tim Schlosser walked, Jeff Rhoads singled and Dan Schlosser was hit by a pitch. Derek Nelson doubled home two runs and Josh Fenzl singled home two runs and Fenzl later scored on a error. The Stonemen scored three and their final runs in the bottom of the first as Bob Manders double and scored on a Steve Guden single. Scott Hagen walked and Ron Kozlowski had a two run double. The Five Os scored ten runs in the top of the second as J Rhoads doubled, D Schlosser walked, Nelson had an RBI double, Fenzl had an RBI ground out, Mitchell and Mike Eppler walked and Kevin Raasch doubled home a run. After Bob Bolson reached on a error, T Schlosser had a grand slam home run over the left center field fence. After J Rhoads had his second double of the inning and D Schlosser had his second walk, Nelson had an RBI single and Fenzl had his second RBI ground out. Raasch walked and scored on a single by J Rhoads in the third, Bolson singled and scored on a sacrifice fly by J Rhoads in the fifth and Nelson walked and scored on a walk to Bolson.
Nelson was five for five with four RBIs, three runs and two doubles, J Rhoads was four for five with three runs, two RBIs and two doubles and Tim Schlosser was two for five with four RBIs, two runs and a home run for Oconomowoc. Ben Kaebisch had three singles for Lannon. Kirk Ressler got the win giving up three runs on six hits, three walks and five strike outs in six innings. Nelson gave up one hit in one inning of relief. Lannon's Dan Moore took the loss iwht 14 runs, 13 earned, on eight hits, four walks, tow hit batters and a strike out in 1 1/3 innings. Scott Hagen gave up four runs, three earned, on six hits, six walks, a hit batter and three strike outs in 5 2/3 innings.
