Oconomowoc welcomed Johnson Creek to the Tri County Night League with a 12-1 win on Thursday night. Creek was held to just 2 hits in the 7 inning run rule. Scoring got started in the first when lead off hitter Shawn Tremaine singled which was followed by 3 more hits in the inning and 2 errors. After scoring 3 in the first inning, the Five Os followed it up with 8 runs in the second inning, sending 14 batters to the plate. Kirk Ressler earned the win for the Five Os throwing 6 innings, giving up 2 hits, walking 2 and striking out 4. Matt Schref put the finishing touches on the game by striking out the side in the 7th.
At the plate, Oconomowoc was led by the Rhoads brothers. Steve was 3 for 3 with 2 walks and 3 RBIs and Jeff was 3 for 4 with a walk. Derek Nelson and Shawn Tremaine had 2 hits apiece.
Oconomowoc now rolls into a LOL double header weekend. The play Saturday against Pewaukee (2:00 pm) and Sunday against Monches (1:00 pm). Both games are home.
