The Five Os dished out an impressive 17 runs to Hartland in Saturday LOL action. Oconomowoc ended up beating Hartland 17-2 via a 7 inning run rule. Fresh off of his no-hitter against Monches, Luke Nelson threw a complete game two-hitter against Hartland. Going into the game Hartland was in a three-way tie with Oconomowoc and Menomonee Falls for first place. Nelson threw all 7 innings, striking out 14, walking 6 and hitting 1 batter. He gave up one earned run. Taking the loss for Hartland was Luke Knuppenburg.
At the plate Oconomowoc was led by newcomer Shane Nelson who had a 4 for 4 day including a double and home run. Steve Rhoads had a 3 for 5 game while Tim Schlosser, Luke Nelson, Jeff Rhoads and Mike Mitchell all had 2 hits. Shane Nelson, Tim Schlosser and Jeff Rhoads all had home runs in the win. Oconomowoc has out homered their opponents 21-2.
Oconomowoc continued their LOL weekend with a visit to Lannon on Sunday. The struggling Stonemen are a surprising 1-4 this year but can never be taken lightly. Game time is 1:00 pm in Lannon.
