The Five Os began their double header weekend with a win over visiting Pewaukee. Pewaukee got on the board first with 2 runs in the top of the first. Oconomowoc answered with a run of their own in the first when Tim Schlosser led off with a walk and was eventually brought in with a bases loaded walk to Steve Rhoads. The Five Os grabbed the lead in the bottom of the third when Luke Nelson led off the inning with a double and Jeff Rhoads and Sean Smith each followed with singles. Sean was eventually brought in to score on a sacrafice fly by Pete Schlosser. Oconomowoc then sent 10 batters to the plate in the bottom half of the fourth hammering out 4 hits in the inning. Their final runs came in the bottom of the seventh when Tim Schlosser doubled down the line and was brought in on a home run by Jeff Rhoads. Leading Oconomowoc at the plate was Jeff Rhoads who was 4 for 4, including a home run and 3 runs scored. Tim Schlosser, Luke Nelson and Josh Fenzl all had 2 hit apiece.
Rob Becker earned his 3rd win of the season pitching 6 innings, giving up 6 earned runs, striking out 1 and walking 2. Mike Bolson threw the remaining 3 innings and gave up 2 unearned runs, 4 hits, walked 1 and struck out 2. Taking the loss for Pewaukee was Rob Brockel.
The Five Os continue LOL play on Sunday with a home game against Monches. Game time is 1:00 pm.
