The Five Os were handed their first loss in the Tri County Nite League on Wednesday by Clyman in an 11-4 defeat. Consistant hitting and solid defense helped push Clyman past the Os. Rusty Tiedemann pitched 8 solid innings for Clyman giving up four runs, two earned, on nine hits, a walk and six strike outs. He also was 4 for 5 with four singles, two runs and three RBI's. Shawn Tremaine took the loss for Oconomowoc. At the plate Jeff Rhoads and Shawn Tremaine has 2 hits each in the losing effort.
Oconomowoc has a huge LOL 4th of July weekend coming up. On Saturday there will be a lone team atop the LOL West when Oconomowoc (7-1) takes on Menomonee Falls (8-1). Falls won the first matchup of the year by a score of 6-1, handing Oconomowoc it's only LOL loss this year. This game is important to the Five Os to keep the head-to-head tie breaker even with Falls. On Sunday Oconomowoc matches up against Merton. Both games are home and start at 1:00 pm.
