Five Os continues offense output with 16-4 win over Merton
The Five Os grabbed a tie of first place in the LOL West with a 16-4 run rule over Merton on Saturday. The Five Os continued their high scoring offense from the night before with 21 hits, including a 3 run home run by pitcher Rob Becker. "What can I say, he hung me a slider" quoted Rob Becker after the game. For the second day in a row Jeff Rhoads went 4 for 5 with 3 doubles, 4 runs and 5 RBIs. Kevin Raasch, Josh Fenzl and Erik Olson each had 3 hits in the contest.
Aside from his 3 run home run, Becker threw a complete game improving his overall record to 7-0. In the contest Becker struck out 9, walked 1 and allowed 9 hits.
The win puts Oconomowoc even with Hartland at 13-2 in the LOL West. Oconomowoc squares off against Lannon tomorrow in what will be a big game.
