Walks blow another 3 run lead in the 9th for Oconomowoc

Oconomowoc pitching and poor defense gave away another Tri County Nite League games. Nearly identical to the West Bend game, Oconomowoc has a 3 run lead going into the 9th inning when the first 3 hitters of the inning were walked to load the bases with no outs. In the West Bend game, the Barons got 3 runs without getting a hit. Kewaskum managed to get 4 runs with 2 infield hits. Kewaskum's 4 run 9th pushed them over Oconomowoc by a score of 6-5.
For Kewaskum, Ziegler, was 3 for 5 including a double, home run, three rbi's and two runs, scored on an error for the 6-5 lead. Ketter, Doath and Parrent had two hits each. Ketter scored two runs and Doath had two rbi's. Bob Ogi earned the win with five runs on seven hits, seven walks and two strike outs in eight innings. Josh Parrent walked a batter in the ninth inning for the save.
For the Five Os, Shawn Tremaine pitched eight strong innings giving up two runs on nine hits, two walks, nine strike outs and a hit batter taking the very tough no decision. Derek Nelson walked three batters. Jeff Rhoads gave up one unearned run on three hits in one inning and took the tough loss. Jeff Rhoads was 2 for 4 with a double, home run and two rbi's. Kevin Raasch had two singles.
