Thin Oconomowoc squad puts up biggest offense of the year
Oconomowoc slammed Pardeeville by a score of 20-3 in 7 innings on Friday night. The 9 member squad managed to crank out the biggest offensive output of the year thus far for the Os. Leading the offensive barrage was Jeff Rhoads who went 4 for 5 and was a triple away from the cycle with a home run, double and 7 RBIs. Kevin Raasch contributed with the first grand slam of the year for Oconomowoc and going 2 for 5 with 4 RBIs. Other notable hitters were Steve Rhoads, Brian Salentine, Derek Nelson and Paul Gephart - all with 2 hits apiece. Defensively, Oconomowoc turned it's first triple play in decades in the 4th inning.
On the mound, Derek Nelson threw a complete game giving up 3 hits, 5 walks and 5 strike outs. The win improves Derek's record to 1-1.
