Five Os open season with 12-0 run rule over Brookfield
The Five Os began their 2004 season with a 7 Inning 12-0 win over the Brookfield Bulldogs on Sunday. The Os were led at the plate by Sean Smith who went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. Luke Nelson and Jeff Rhoads had 2 hits a piece with a home run by Jeff Rhoads being the only long ball of the game. On the hill, Rob Becker and Mike Bolson combined for an excellent game. Becker went 3 innings giving up 3 hits, striking out 2 and walking 1. Bolson came in and threw the final 4 innings only giving up 1 hit while allowing no walks and getting 5 strike outs.
The Os play again next Sunday against Merton on the road. Game time is 1:00 pm.
