Becker continues dominance with 3 hit shutout over Merton
LOL All Star Rob Becker threw another gem on Sunday against Merton. Becker threw a complete game shutout only allowing 3 hits while striking out 8. Somehow Becker managed not to dot anyone again. The win improves Beckers record to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the LOL West.
At the plate Oconomowoc was led by fellow All Star Jeff Rhoads who was 3 for 5 including a home run, 3 runs, and 3 RBIs. Adam Schlosser, Steve Rhoads, Luke Nelson and Mike Mitchell all contributed 2 hits each. Mitchell hit a walk off home run in the bottom of the 8th to end the game via run rule.
The win puts Oconomowoc at 9-1 in the LOL West. Next weekend is All Star weekend so LOL play will continue July 17th weekend when Oconomowoc faces Hartland on Saturday and Sussex on Sunday. Saturdays game is away with a start time of 2:00 pm and Sundays game is home at 1:00 pm.
