The Five Os completed their Tri County Night League season with a 10-5 win over Clyman on Wednesday night. The win put Oconomowoc at 4-6 in the league which will most likely not put them in the playoffs (the top 6 teams make the playoffs). The Five Os jumped on Clyman early getting 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st with hits by Shawn Tremaine, Tim Schlosser and Jeff Rhoads to lead off the game. Mike Mitchell followed up with a sac fly and Steve Rhoads added another single. In the bottom of the 3rd Oconomowoc led off with three straight hits again this time by Jeff Rhoads, Mike Mitchell and Josh Bouche which helped Oconomowoc take a 5-2 lead. The Canners tied the game in the top of the 5th with 3 runs before Oconomowoc added 2 in the bottom half of the inning along with one more in the 6th and two more in the 7th to put the final score at 10-5.
Leading Oconomowoc at the plate was Jeff Rhoads who was 5 for 5 with 3 runs a double and an RBI. Tyler Malay, Josh Bouche and Steve Rhoads all had two hits in a game where all 10 players for Oconomowoc carded at least one base hit.
Earning the win on the mound was Tim Schlosser who went 5 innings giving up 3 earned runs, walking 4, hitting 2 batters and striking out 3. Other players who took the mound were Steve Rhoads, Mike Mitchell and Jeff Rhoads.
The remainder of the 2007 season for Oconomowoc will be LOL games only. They have 3 regular season games left before the playoffs begin. Their next matchup is at Monches this Sunday at 1:00 pm.
