Oconomowoc improved to 11-0 in the LOL West with a 9-0 win over North Lake on Sunday. Solid top to bottom hitting and five North Lake errors helped the Five Os stay undefeated and in first place. Oconomowoc first got on the board in the bottom of the 2nd when Derek Nelson singled to lead off the inning and Mike Mitchell reached on a fielder's choice error. A single by Steve Rhoads and another error allowed two runs to score for Oconomowoc. The Five Os added one more in the bottom of the 3rd when Luke Nelson led off the inning with a single and came around to score on a single by Derek Nelson. Oconomowoc then did the majority of it's damage in the 4th and 5th innings highlighted by a triple by Luke Nelson in the 4th and home run in the 5th.
On the mound Rob Becker threw the first 5 innings for Oconomowoc giving up 2 hits, walking 1 anf striking out 5. Luke Nelson pitched the remaining 4 innings giving up 1 hit, striking out 3 and hitting 1 batter.
At the plate Oconomowoc was led by Luke Nelson who was 3 for 5 with 3 runs scored, a triple, home run and 4 RBIs. Derek Nelson, Steve Rhoads and Tyler Malay each had 2 hits.
The Five Os have two Tri County games this week with matchups against Hartford (in Watertown) on Wednesday and at Pardeeville on Friday. Both game times are at 8:00 pm. The Five Os then play in Hartland on Sunday at 1:00 pm in LOL action.
