After a somewhat unusual week, Butler was crowned the LOL Eastern Division Champs and will host Oconomowoc in their first game of the 2007 Grand Championship. After this past weekends games, 3 of the 4 divisions crowned their champion with the East division championship rained out. They were scheduled to make up their games this week, however the constant rain in Southeastern Wisconsin has prevented any makeup games. As a result, Eastern Division commissioner Ron Hart has declared Butler the champion.
Butler will host Oconomowoc on Saturday with a 1:30 pm start time. Butler won the Grand Championship last year. Click here for directions to their park.
Oconomowoc will then host Northern Division Champions Cedarburg on Sunday at 1:30 pm at Roosevelt.
Grand Championship Teams Shaping Up
With the LOL Grand Championship beginning this weekend, 3 of the 4 division champions have been crowned. Cedarburg will be representing the LOL North, Waterford with be representing the LOL Southwest and Oconomowoc will be representing the LOL West. The Eastern Division playoffs were rained out this weekend and the teams will have to play during the week to determine the champion. The two remaining teams in the East are West Allis and Butler. Saturday August 25: Waterford at Cedarburg. Oconomowoc at Butler/West Allis. Sunday August 26: Cedarburg at Oconomowoc, Butler/West Allis at Waterford.
